HVAC / Refrigeration Engineer

As an HVAC / Refrigeration Engineer at Bounty Energy, you'll install, commission and maintain air-conditioning, heat pump and refrigeration systems for a varied client base. It's a field-based role with real autonomy — ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in reliable workmanship and wants to grow with a busy, supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission split, multi-split and VRF air-conditioning systems.
• Service, maintain and fault-find on AC, heat pump and refrigeration plant.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs.
• Handle refrigerants safely and in line with F-Gas regulations.
• Complete service records, reports and certificates accurately.
• Advise clients on performance, efficiency and recommended works.

What we're looking for

• F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential).
• Relevant refrigeration / air-conditioning qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds).
• Proven experience installing and/or servicing AC and heat pump systems.
• Strong fault-finding skills and a methodical, safety-first approach.
• Full UK driving licence.

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial refrigeration or chillers.
• Basic electrical knowledge or 18th Edition certification.
• Air source / ground source heat pump experience.
