This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent Electrical Engineering graduate to develop alongside experienced engineers on real power, protection and energy projects. You'll build hands-on expertise across design, analysis and testing while we support your professional development towards chartership. Key responsibilities

• Support the design, analysis and testing of power systems, three-phase circuits, transformers and high-voltage equipment.
• Assist with power network studies, including fault analysis, relay protection and load-flow assessments.
• Use engineering software and tools (MATLAB, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, Python) to model and analyse electrical systems.
• Prepare technical documentation, calculations and reports to a professional standard.
• Work alongside senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams on live projects, learning best practice on site and in the office.
• Apply electrical safety principles and follow relevant standards on every task.

What we're looking for

• Strong academic foundation in Electrical Engineering, with knowledge of power systems, three-phase circuits, transformers and high-voltage equipment.
• Understanding of power network operation and protection systems, including fault analysis, relay protection and electrical safety principles.
• Proficiency in engineering software and technical tools, such as MATLAB, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, Python and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to prepare technical documentation, analyse engineering data and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• A relevant placement, internship or final-year project in power systems or energy.
• Awareness of UK standards such as BS 7671 and the G99 connection process.
• Interest in renewable energy, grid connections or electric vehicle infrastructure.
