As an Electrical Test Engineer at Bounty Energy, you'll be the assurance behind every installation we deliver and maintain. You'll inspect, test and certify electrical systems across commercial, industrial and residential sites — making sure they're safe, compliant and performing as they should. It's a role for someone methodical, technically sharp and genuinely proud of getting the detail right.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out initial verification and periodic inspection & testing of electrical installations to BS 7671 (18th Edition).
• Produce Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), Electrical Installation Certificates and Minor Works Certificates.
• Diagnose faults, identify remedial works and clearly document findings and recommendations.
• Use and maintain calibrated test instruments (multifunction testers, insulation resistance, RCD, earth loop, etc.).
• Liaise with clients and site teams to schedule and complete testing with minimal disruption.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all works meet health, safety and quality standards.

What we're looking for

• City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or 2394/2395 — or equivalent experience.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (City & Guilds 2382) certification.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) and ECS/JIB card.
• Proven experience in inspection and testing across varied installations.
• Strong fault-finding skills and confident, accurate report writing.
• Full UK driving licence.

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial, industrial or renewable (solar PV) installations.
• 18th Edition Design (2396) or knowledge of EV charging installations.
• IPAF / PASMA or SSSTS/SMSTS site safety tickets.
